Cashel town is a market town for a population of approximately 11,400 and an important tourist destination for over 250,000 visitors per year.
It is the fifth largest town in South Tipperary. Cashel is characterised by its historic character and its strategic central location in both County Tipperary and on the Dublin to Cork Motorway (M8)
